Barcelona are weighing up the possibility of asking for the date of the Copa del Rey final to be changed. It's currently set for April 21.
The Catalan club are worried the game could coincide with their possible participation in the semifinals of the Champions League, which are scheduled for April 23 and April 24, just three days after the final. Sevilla are also still in the Champions League.
Barça, who lead La Liga by nine points, don't want a significant chunk of their season to boil down to one week in April.
In addition, the Copa del Rey final comes after two tough games against Valencia (April 15) and Celta Vigo (April 18).
Remember that if the final is played on the suggested date, Barça's league game against Villarreal will be moved until just three days before the Clasico against Real Madrid at Camp Nou.
Therefore, they could decide to ask the RFEF to look at a more suitable date when they meet on Monday with the two finalists.
Barcelona are happy for the game to be played at Atletico Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano. They would have preferred the Santiago Bernabeu, but Real Madrid have once again announced they will not host the final.
