FC Barcelona and Girona FC shared the points on Sunday in a 2-2 draw at Camp Nou. Here is how Sport rated Barca's team:
Marc-Andre ter Stegen 5 - The German let in two goals but made some saves after, including one from Portu.
Nelson Semedo 5 - Did not complicate life. Booked in the 12th minute for fouling Portu. More is expected from him, especially in attack.
Gerard Pique 7 - A bit unlucky for Stuani’s goals, taking risks in attack and helped Barca get back level with a goal. All heart.
Clement Lenglet 6 - Sent off for an elbow after the referee looked at VAR. Until then he had been good.
Jordi Alba 6 - A defender and an attacker. Suffered at the back and could not combine decisively with Messi going forward.
Arturo Vidal 5 - The Chilean, playing his first game as a starter, assisted Messi. Worked hard but his influence waned as the game went on.
Sergio Busquets 6 - Almost all the play went through him and he distributed balls precisely and quickly. Pressed well. After Lenglet’s expulsion he played at centre-back and could not stop Stuani. Back to midfield when Umtiti came on.
Arthur Melo 5 - The Brazilian was not at his best level. Disappeared and hardly brought any of what he promises - good play, fluidity, assists.
Leo Messi 7 - Scored the opener and then hit the bar with a free kick, with Bono keeping various other efforts out.
Luis Suarez 5 - Could not participate much but fought with the defenders, with little luck. Participated in the goal that levelled it, eventually converted by Pique.
Ousmane Dembele 6 - Worked hard and with determination, although also faded. Sacrificed for Umtiti.
Samuel Umtiti 5
Ivan Rakitic 6
Philippe Coutinho 5
