Barça goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen is heading to the Premier League

Manchester United have been linked with the stopper, whilst West Ham and Everton are alternative options

Jasper Cillessen is set to leave Barça sooner than expected. The goalkeeper's desire to leave isn't anything new but after a move to Benfica stalled, it appeared a transfer could drag out for the majority of the summer. However, it now seems like he'll be one of the first to abandon the Camp Nou after all.

His destination appears to be in the Premier League. Valencia were interested in him as a potential replacement for Neto but due to the money available to sides in England, the Premier League is the most likely option for the Dutch keeper. Manchester United, West Ham and Everton all want him and now it comes down to Cillessen accepting the best offer.

A sticking point in Cillessen's move to Benfica was the insistence that they wanted over €20m for their backup stopper. The Portuguese side were willing to pay around €12m and it quickly became clear an agreement wasn't going to happen. Valencia were the next side to speak with Barça and the keeper was happy to remain in Spain but the fact they've yet to move on Neto means nothing can happen right now.

The most obvious options in England are West Ham and Everton. It appears to be another summer of investment at the London club and they believe Cillessen adds extra squad to their squad. As for the Toffees, they want an established person between the sticks with speculation continuing to surround the future of their current number one, Pickford.

Perhaps Everton's close relationship with Barça will play in their favour but it appears Cillessen's time at Barça is almost over.
