Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde spoke about Malcom's situation on Saturday. The Brazilian's not been in the last two squads and could leave the club this month. Valverde sent a message to the forward, calling on him to show his best form to get the minutes he wants on the pitch.
Valverde said: "What the player wants is to play a lot of games and to score goals. That's what the manager wants, too. He has to demonstrate that he can earn his place, that he can score goals -- the same as everyone else.
"We want to see his quality on the pitch. I don't ask anything different of him to anyone else, just that he proves his quality and is decisive. That's what we expect from him -- and that he helps us when we don't have the ball.
Another player who could leave this month is Denis Suarez, who Valverde was also asked about.
"Denis is a player who may have offers from other teams," he said. "We are speaking about a great player, like everyone in the squad. But he's with us and I don't have much more to say.
"You ask about the players that don't play, like Denis and Malcom, and you will keep on doing the same. But not everyone can play. It's impossible."
