The midfielder Andre Gomes will be one of the first players to have their FC Barcelona exit confirmed this summer. After spending a season on loan at Everton, the Portugal international has decided to remain with the English club permanently and is negotiating his contract with them.
There has been a lot of speculation about Gomes' future, with a number of other English clubs also showing an interest in him. He struggled at Barça but has re-found his form at Everton.
Tottenham and especially West Ham were keen to sign him, but he has opted to remain at Goodison Park.
Barça and Everton have closed a deal worth an initial 25 million euros plus some add-ons which will see the Catalans almost recover what they paid Valencia for him in 2016.
Andre Gomes is happy in Liverpool and is enjoying playing under compatriot Marco Silva. Following the agreement between the two clubs, the player is now finalising the terms of his deal with Everton so that the transfer can be completed this week.
