Andres Iniesta's relationship with Barcelona is excellent. It's always been like this. The club is very grateful for having enjoyed the player and his success over the past era and both sides know things are coming to an end. At Barca they are starting to believe Iniesta will go, the economics of the Chinese clubs means he's received stratospheric offers and they know it's a chance ofr him to finish his career with a huge deal.
Barca have given Iniesta total liberty to decide what suits him. As they should. And they will back any decision he makes. The offers from China are unmatchable for any European side.
Ernesto Valverde considers Iniesta a key player. The captain has kept his place in the side despite new arrivals. No player understands the Barca game better, so it's hard to usurp him. His goodbye will end an era. If he stays he would still be essential. He has more time in him at the top.
His teammates know that he faces a difficult decision. He's a much-loved and respected member of the team, a true leader who has won his place in the dressing room. Iniesta will be key to the arrival of titles this season and after that he will go, or not. Barca see him leaving, but there is still some hope he will stay.
