Carlo Ancelotti was impressed with Frenkie de Jong as Barcelona beat his Napoli side 4-0 in Michigan on Saturday.
Luis Suarez scored twice and Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele were also on target as Barça looked in fine form ahead of Friday's season opener against Athletic Club.
However, there were also good performances from De Jong and Carles Aleña in midfielder, with the Dutchman catching Ancelotti's eye.
"He's a great midfielder and I think he looks really good," the Italian coach said after the game in a press conference.
"He's calm when he plays and he's very efficient in terms of controlling the game. He's going to do really well at Barcelona."
Ancelotti was not too downbeat about his team's performance. All four goals came in 15 second half minutes, but he felt the first two were offside.
"The game changed with two offside goals, the first and the second," he added.
