Barcelona and Manchester City will take part in one of the Champions League group stage's most anticipated games on Wednesday.
The Man City coach, Pep Guardiola, knows the Blaugrana well, but he's not the only person at the club giving advice to his players. The forward Sergio Aguero, a good friend of Lionel Messi, has also been handing out warnings.
Aguero's spoke with his players, especially the defenders, about the difficulty in stopping Messi. "All we can hope is that he has a bad day and our defence plays the game of its life. It’s that difficult because Leo is the best in the world,” he said.
The Argentine recognised that “playing against Messi will be something special. We are the same nationality and we are friends too. For that reason I didn’t want to to get Barcelona in the draw but sometimes fate plays a part and there’s nothing you can do."
The City striker highlighted that he knows "all about him and of course so does Guardiola – but then when it comes to Barcelona everybody in the world knows about all their players, so it doesn’t mean so much."
