Abel Ruiz is the latest Barça B player to make his first team debut for the Catalan club this season. The Valencia forward came on for Philippe Coutinho in the second half of the 2-0 win against Getafe.
Ruiz had already made his debut in the Catalan Super Cup win over Espanyol on March 7, 2018, when he scored the winning penalty in the shootout.
The Spain youth international had a chance to make it 2-0 against Getafe, but was foiled by David Soria. He then set Messi up with a backheel, but Soria also made a save.
Ruiz is the eighth youngster to make their debut under Ernesto Valverde this season following Juan Miranda, Wague, Chumi, Riqui Puig, Oriol Busquets, Jorge Cuenca and Collado.
