Blatter wants Luis Suarez back in action "soon"

FIFA president Sepp Blatter has spoken about Luis Suarez for the first time since the Liverpool striker bit Italy's Giorgio Chiellini in a World Cup match for Uruguay.

Suarez has since been banned from "all football-related activity" for four months by FIFA.

And without wanting to talk too much about the issue, Blatter was left with no choice but to respond to Uruguayan journalists.

His reponse was quite conciliatory as well.

"We hope to see [Luis Suarez] on the pitch soon," Blatter said.

His words could act as the first step towards a reduction of the current ban, which has been appealed by Liverpool's 27-year-old striker.
