The Spanish club will announce details of the deal on Thursday at the Bernabeu

In principal Telefonica will not be their main shirt sponsor, with Fly Emirates still in that position

Real Madrid have agreed a new sponsorship deal for two season with telecommunications giant Telefonica.

Los Blancos will present the new sponsor to the media at 1.30pm on Thursday, March 30.

Florentino Perez will reveal the details of the deal at the event, which will be attended by player from the first team football and basketball squads.

El Pais claim the deal will be the largest advertising deal signed in Spain.

Various sources suggest the deal will not be as the main sponsor for the shirts, but they will become the club’s main technological sponsor. It is thought Madrid will install wifi across the Santiago Bernabeu.

Madrid are likely to keep Fly Emirates as their main shirt sponsor. They pay 25m per season for the privilege, but Perez has agreed a new deal which will be presented soon, with numbers double the current ones.
