Cristiano Ronaldo's bronze bust at airport renaming event causes fuss
In the inauguration a bronze bust of the forward was unveiled to a lot of mirth on social media
President Rebelo de Sousa said Ronaldo "projects Madeira and Portugal across the world far more than anybody else"
Cristiano Ronado baptised, on Wednesday, the airport of his native island Funchal. In the inauguration a bronze bust of the forward was unveiled to a lot of mirth on social media, because its relation to what Ronaldo looks like goes between little and nothing.
The sculpture was produced to go along with the renaming of the Airport of Madeira to Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport.
President Rebelo de Sousa said Ronaldo "projects Madeira and Portugal across the world far more than anybody else".
Ronaldo wrote on Twitter: "Happy and honored to have my name given to the Madeira airport!"
Here are some of the jokes being made about Cristiano and his bizarre bust:

El escultor que ha diseñado el busto de CR7 para el Aeropuerto de Cristiano Ronaldo es del Barça. No hay cosa más fea.

Me parece feo reirnos de una persona que claramente sufre una enfermedad degenerativa como es el busto de Cristiano Ronaldo.
