PSG have NO intention of selling Marquinhos

Paris Saint-Germain have shut the door on Marquinhos leaving the club, with Barcelona keen to sign the defender in the summer.

Despite recent information suggesting the player has agreed a deal with Barça for next season, the French club have told SPORT that the Brazilian is not for sale.

The owner of PSG, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, is not ready to negotiate the exit of a player who is considered a key part of Laurent Blanc’s plans at the club.

Sources close to the Ligue 1 club’s owner say that Al-Khelaifi “will never sell Marquinhos,” assuring that there is no chance the player will leave in the summer.

PSG rejected Barça’s 45 million euro offer for the 21-year-old, obliging the Catalan club to raise their offer to 50 million.

Barcelona, though, believe that pressure from Marquinhos on the club will lead to a change of opinion from Al-Khelaifi.

The player is not going through his best moment with the club and Blanc didn’t use him at all in the Champions League draw with Manchester City in the week.

It’s caused the player to become unhappy in the French capital and he and his agent, Giuliano Bertolucci, have reportedly accepted an offer from Barcelona, although PSG will be tougher to strike a deal with.
