Luis Enrique: Football has not been fair on Barcelona
The Catalan club's coach felt his side deserved to win the game against Real Madrid
Barcelona Luis Enrique Martinez admitted that his team will have to improve on their Clasico season, although he highlighted that “football has not been fair on us” after the draw against Real Madrid.
“I think we deserved to win this game, that’s why there’s big disappointment, he said. “We were the better team, in my opinion. Football has not been fair to us.
“In the second half we improved. We were able to find our players much more and we created chances, two clear chances with Neymar and Leo [Messi].
“We had it in our hands, but we couldn’t sentence the match. I think we deserved it, but that’s the way it is and you have to accept how things go.”
“[Now we have] a solid leader [at the top of the table] who don’t slip up. The only chance we have is to keep winning games and put pressure on them. We need to improve, especially at home.”
