Van Gaal asks his superiors for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale

After the departure of Angel Di MariaManchester United are targetting a move that would turn into the biggest transfer of the summer.

Louis Van Gaal must look into the market for a replacement, with the Argentine midfielder on the verge of making his signing for PSG official.

According to The Telegraph, the Dutchman has asked the club's chiefs to give everything they've got to sign Gareth Bale. It won't be easy, especially given that Rafa Benitez has looked to play the Wales international at the point of his attack. Furthermore, Real Madrid won't allow the player to leave for less than 120 million euros.

However, the money would not be a huge issue for the Red Devils, after their new deal with Adidas, which is reportedly worth more than 1,000 million euros throughout the next decade.
