Perez is fed up of Real Madrid star Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has run Florentino Perez's patience down into the ground. The Real Madrid president, formerly the Portuguese forward's defender in chief, is fed up of his whims and has decided to clamp down. Florentino, according to El Confidencial, will not stand for any more nonsense and Zinedine Zidane will respect the same line.

The relationship between both took a critical blow when Perez sacked Carlo Ancelotti and hired Rafa Benitez last summer. Perez also did not like an interview Cristiano gave to Kicker, in which he said he was open to leaving Real Madrid.

Perez castigated Cristiano for his performances and his unwillingness to obey tactical decisions. The president previously forgave him many things. Now he is also bothered about Cristiano's frequent visits to Morrocco to see his boxer friend.

The president was also not happy to hear Ancelotti's comments about him and less to see Cristiano vote for the former coach in the Ballon d'Or managerial award. Perez wants a new star in the Madrid galaxy and that is Neymar. However, signing the Brazilian will be hard, not least because of the transfer ban imposed on Madrid.

Perez wants to keep Cristiano on a short leash. For this he will rely on Zidane, who has always expressed his disagreement with the Portgueses' behaviour lately, more interested in his luxury cars and trips than in working hard in training and for the team.

Now what remains to be seen is how Cristiano reacts to the new status quo, imposed from above. Knowing his previous, it could end up being a train wreck which will not bring the calm to the team which Zidane requires.
