Feghouli confident he'll sign new deal at Valencia

Sofiane Feghouli is confident he will sign a new contract with Valencia soon, with his current deal set to expire in less just over six months time. 

"No, because I've wanted to renew since 2014," he responded when asked if he had any doubts over penning new terms.

"My agent is negotiating and we'll reach an agreement soon. I'm happy here and I'm giving my very best as a professional."

The Algerian international was speaking ahead of his side’s Champions League game against Gent. 

He says his Los Che will certainly not be guilty of taking their Belgian opponents lightly. 

"We still haven't had time to study the game. But it's the Champions League and they deserve total respect," he added. 

"We have a lot of confidence because we won the last game and we hope to do even better with the help of the crowd." 

Valencia lost their fist game in the group stages to Zenit St Petersburg, but they bounced back with a win over Lyon last time out.
