Isco prepared to leave Real Madrid if he doesn't get playing time

Isco says he could leave Real Madrid if he doesn’t get regular playing time at the Bernabeu.

The midfielder has played just 192 minutes of football this season in all competitions after a summer which saw him linked with Premier League side Tottenham and even a return to Malaga.

However, he says he still wants to prove himself at Madrid, although he is prepared to leave if that doesn’t prove possible.

“I have spent practically two months without playing," he said in an interview with Marca.

"It's difficult when you're training well and the manager does not put you in.

"But in the end it's my own fault. In the end it is me who is responsible. I want to see where I can improve to get in there.

"I am not going to give in easily. I know I will be a success.

“I don't know if that will be with Madrid -- I hope so. But if not, I will be a success somewhere else."

Isco, despite a lack of game time with his club, was called up to the latest Spain squad and is currently with the national team preparing for the matches against Italy and Albania.
