Nolito: "If Barça sign another forward, then congratulations to them"

Nolito will not announce his new destination until after the end of Euro 2016. It is expected that he will join Manchester City and he is resigned to the fact that Barça will not pay the 18 million euros in his Celta Vigo buy-out clause.

The Spain forward has said he is not bitter about Barcelona's decision to not pursue his signature: "I am calm and happy, enjoying things like a kid. If Barça sign a forward, then congratulations, I have no problem."

As his future is linked to the Premier League, he was asked about the British referendum to leave the European Union. Nolito smiled and replied: "I can see you had that question prepared...it doesn't affect me, I don't understand much about it and I don't care."

Regarding the Spanish national side and the open debates about the team, the Celta player commented: "Neither were we so good before, nor are we so bad now. We know how this world works and there is no need to look back. Spain plays well, we have a good team, we will respect all rivals, but sincerely we should not fear any side."

Nolito is being highlighted by some media outlets as the possible player to be sacrificed by Del Bosque to strengthen the midfield against Italy. The footballer was adamant that he would not have an issue with such a decision: "The manager decides, there are 23 of us here, we should be calm and if the coach thinks it's for the best, then great."
