El desmarque.com: Monchi set to leave Sevilla

In a brief report, 'eldesmarque.com' have revealed that Monchi has communicated to Sevilla that he wants to leave the club. According to the same information, the club’s sporting director has decided it’s time to go for strictly personal reasons.

Monchi has been protagonist of one of the best eras in the history of Sevilla. A former goalkeeper at the Sanchez Pizjuan, he returned to the club’s technical team (scouting, recruitment etc) in 2000, working under Roberto Ales initially. In 2008 he became the sporting director and the club have not only gone on to experience a period filled with trophies, but Monchi has specialised in signing players that have become stars in La Liga.

While there is not yet any official confirmation on the part of the club or Monchi, the news has sent social media mad on Monday evening. Monchi's future seems to be away from Sevilla - and there won’t be any shortage of takers given the great work he has done in recent years.
