Bellerin: I will be here until Del Bosque says so

Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin says it's a "dream" to be with the Spanish national team, who he will remain with until the coach says so. On Tuesday, the final 23-man list for the European Championships will be named.

Bellerin is the only of the 11 young players called up by Vicente del Bosque to prepare for this summer's tournament in France who is still with the squad, due to the injury suffered by Dani Carvajal in the final of the Champions League.

The absence of Carvajal, who was on the original 25-man list which has to be cut to 23, has opened the door for Bellerin to go to Euro 2016. The Arsenal defender preferred to be cautious, though, when speaking on Monday as he waits for Del Bosque's decision.

The Catalan said that before being called up for the pre-tournament training, he had planned a holiday with his girlfriend. It was, therefore, a "surprise" when he was named as one of the 11 young players who would train with the squad for the first week of preparation.

On Sunday he received more positive news when it was revealed that, for now, he will continue with La Roja due to Carvajal's fitness problems. He wanted to send a message of support to the Real Madrid man.

"The first thing I want to do is wish [Carvajal] a quick recovery. He is a team-mate and that is the most important thing. With respect to me, I will be here until the coach tells me otherwise," he manifested.

Bellerin added that he has "passed through all the Spanish youth teams and that's a treat" because it has formed him and now he is living his "dream" of being with the full squad. He said Spain are a team "that plays football, which has the ball", but also which "concedes very few goals".
