Giroud: Why not beat Barça? We have the quality for that

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud is looking forward to facing Barcelona, who he dubbed as “the best team in the world”. 

The Frenchman spoke in glowing terms about Barça’s quality, but sees no reason why the Premier League side cannot cause a major upset in the Champions League tie. 

“We are looking forward to playing Barcelona; they are the best team in the world today,” the Frenchman said at a press conference on Monday.

“It will be different from Bayern [Munich, in the group stages]. We need to focus and be 100 percent together, with good cohesion and we will put what we need to in to this game.

“We will try and give pleasure to our fans - why not win this game? We have the quality for that.

“They’re the favourites, but we have a good quality and quantity this year, even if we have had a lot of injuries.”
