Klopp's charm offensive could see Khedira swap Real Madrid for Borussia Dortmund

Sami Khedira, whose contract with Real Madrid ends at the end of the season, has decided to return to the Bundesliga and his future is currently looking like taking a turn in Borussia Dortmund's direction.

Jurgen Klopp has let the German international know of his interest and has revealed his plans for his new project.

The midfielder, who will turn 28 in April, rejected Madrid's contract offer in December and Florentino Perez understood his reasoning.

Bayern Munich has also been touted as a possible destination, but that will not be the case.

It became clear several weeks ago that Pep Guardiola was not in the market for Khedira as he feels he will be well covered in that position next season, clearing the way for Dortmund to make a move.

And Klopp spoke privately with Khedira on Friday, taking the first steps towards ensuring he will be dressed in yellow next season.
