Why Iker Casillas didn't vote in Ballon d'Or

Spain captain Iker Casillas did not vote in the Ballon d'Or, and according to COPE's Isaac Fouto, it was because he received the documents from the Spanish Football Association (RFEF) less than 23 hours before they had to be sent back. With the Porto goalkeeper about to travel, he did not have time to vote.

There were other points of interest, including Holland captain Arjen Robben not choosing to vote for any of his former team-mates from Real Madrid, instead picking a Barcelona top three. He went for Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez, in that order.

Meanwhile, Carlos Quieroz, the Portuguese Iran coach, did not give his top vote to Cristiano Ronaldo. He went for Messi, with Ronaldo second and Neymar in third.
