Victor Valdes wants to play in the Premier League next season

Victor Valdes will leave Standard Liege at the end of the season with the intention of going back to the Premier League.

The 34-year-old goalkeeper, who arrived at Belgium in January, loaned by Manchester United whom he has a contract with until June, will end his association with the Red Devils.

Having faced-off with manager Louis van Gaal, Valdes left for Standard, where he started playing again and found his rhythm.

Valdes, who won the Belgian cup playing against Bruges on March 20 and has been one of Standard's best players, couldn't help his team fight for the title and is looking forward to playing for a top level side again.

The player has told his agent he wants to find a new club rather than staying at Standard and would like to play in England.
