Valencia look to have Joao Cancelo replacement tied down
Los Che are already aware that their right-back will be off to Barcelona next summer
For a few days now Valencia have been clear that this is Joao Cancelo’s final season at the club.
And not just, but that his destination is Barcelona. The terms of the operation were finalised a few weeks ago and Valencia are working on a replacement.
The press in Valencia offer some doubts in that respect. On Tuesday, Superdeporte assure that the club have a replacement for Cancelo.
In recent weeks, there have been various names linked with Los Che. At first it was Malaga’s Rosales, but now the name Cristiano Piccini has been linked with Prandelli’s side. Real Betis’s Italian full-back counts on the backing of the coaching staff.
Cancelo’s departure is definite, even though all parties have committed to keeping things quiet for now.
Valencia’s situation is delicate on a sporting and institutional level and this operation will only cause unsettle things more.
