Two more Barça players, Adrian Guerrero & Alexis Meva, affected by FIFA

Behind each of the kids that can't play because of FIFA (and I'm not just talking about Barcelona) there is a story. The story of kids who have been punished without being guilty of anything. We already know about the foreign players that cannot play and the new signings that cannot be registered yet. But there is a third scenario which is much more unjust and in Barça's case (but I am sure other clubs will be in the same situation) affects two players: Adrian Guerrero and Alexis Meva.

Adrian is not even foreign. He is Spanish, has all the documentation he needs and his only 'crime', as is the case with Alexis, too, is that last season he was on loan away from Barça. Adrian played for Damm and Alexis, who is from Cameroon but with all the necessary paperwork, was with Badalona. It's normal that Barcelona, like other big clubs, loan some players out. They have confidence in them, but the idea is for them to play more minutes with another team. And the reality is that both loans went well, so the club decided to bring them back.

But not everything has a happy ending in this life. And the joy of returning to Barça has disappeared because FIFA will not allow them to register the players again. They consider that, even though they were never let go, they were with different clubs and therefore have to be re-signed. For that reason, until January, neither of them can play.

Both of them continue to live at La Masia and to train. Alexis with Juvenil A and Adrian with Juvenil B. Their situation, as is the case with many other kids, is not easy. However, the response is always the same when you speak with any of the players affected by FIFA's punishment. "We are kids, but we are strong."
