Tello to join up with Barça squad as he awaits resolution to his future

Cristian Tello, who played last season on loan at Fiorentina, could join Barcelona's pre-season training as early as this Wednesday.

The player had been due to appear at Barcelona's facilities on August 8, to undergo the routine medical tests after the summer break.

His agent Josep Maria Orobitg is currently negotiating with the Catalan club to allow the forward to rejoin the Italian side on another loan deal.

Orobitg said, in an interview with 'Violanews.com': "We hope to close a deal this week. There will be a meeting between all parties involved, but in the meantime Cristian will link up with Barcelona tomorrow (Wednesday)."

After a month of negotiations, there has still not been any agreement for Tello to leave, and the idea of offering the player the chance to occupy the fourth forward position in the Barça squad had been considered.

However Tello is not convinced by this possibility, and seems determined to continue his link with Fiorentina, where he has enjoyed his football.

In the coming hours, there could be a definitive solution to the situation.
