Suitable candidates to replace Neymar if he leaves Barça

Days pass by and Neymar's contract extension has still yet to be confirmed by Barça.

Not only that, but rumours of a potential departure to Paris Saint-Germain constantly gather pace. The Blaugrana are optimistic but also aware that the Brazilian would prefer the money, meaning the temptation of moving to the Parc des Princes is strong.

Given this scenario, the Catalan club would lose a great player but charge a huge amount of money to find a replacement of necessary quality.

PAULO DYBALA

The Juventus striker is labelled as "the new Lionel Messi". Dybala even has characteristics similar to that of his compatriot, although his age of 22 years means that remains to be consolidated.

In Turin, the Bianconeri know they have a world-class player on their hands and for Barça to sign him now would cost around 70 million euros. Without any doubt, the former Palermo player seems the best investment for the future.

EDEN HAZARD

Chelsea's Belgian forward has endured a lacklustre season at best, but no one doubts his talent in the final third. Fast, technical and an eye for goal means Hazard can dominate from the wings and centre.

However, the 25-year-old is inconsistent and also a target of Real Madrid, with the player himself interested in a move to the Spanish capital.

ANTOINE GRIEZMANN

Today, Griezmann is one of the best strikers in world football. He moves well into space, is lethal in front of goal and is associated with both an offensive and defensive work rate.

The Premier League has tempted the Frenchman but everything indicates that Atletico Madrid will hold onto him for at least one more season. At 25-years-old, the sky is the limit for Griezmann.

DOUGLAS COSTA

Anyone who's seen the Bayern Munich winger this year knows that in many games the Brazilian has assumed all attacking responsibility, leaving opponents in his wake. Costa has explosive speed and a strong physique, but needs to be more effective by contributing more goals.

The Bavarians signed him for 35 million euros and his departure would occur at a price in the region of 50 million.

KEVIN DE BRUYNE

Surely the riskiest option, mainly because his price would be extortionately high with Manchester City paying 74 million euros for the Belgian last summer. De Bruyne can play in many areas of the midfield and his main virtue is the ability to exploit gaps and add much-needed firepower in attack.

Of these five options there are, of course, many others that could be added, including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Yannick Carrasco or Anthony Martial. What is clear is that Barça are obliged to acquire one or even two top players to compensate for Neymar's potential departure.
