Shakhtar right-back Srna linked with shock Barça switch

As surreal as it seems, there are reports Barcelona's transfer activity is not over. Ukrainian website 'Tribuna.com' are reporting on Thursday that Shakhtar Donetsk right-back Dario Srna could still join the Catalan club, if he rescinds his contract with his current side. 

Despite the transfer window closing on Wednesday, rules allow players without clubs to still be signed. It seems that Srna is close to leaving his current side, which would make him a free agent and allow him to join another club. 

Srna, 34, has been one of the best right-backs in Europe in recent years and has been linked with Barça previously. 

However, it seems unlikely he will end up at Camp Nou. First of all, because Aleix Vidal and Sergi Roberto have the right back position covered; and secondly because Robert Fernandez and Albert Soler both recognised on Thursday that the squad is now closed.
