Sergio Busquets: The pain lessened and I stayed on

FC Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets was happy after Barcelona's 2-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates stadium. The Catalan midfielder came close to being substituted in the first half, but in the end he was able to complete the game. "I had problems after being hit, but luckily the pain went down and I managed to stay on the pitch," he explained.

Busquets was pleased with the result, but doesn't think the tie is resolved as a whole. He told TV3 "we are happy for the result, it's a great victory. We respect all the teams. It's a good result but Arsenal have very good players and we can't take it as done. In the return we will go out to win, like always."

Analysing the game, he said: "They are strong physically and tactically. They tried to take advantage with speedy counters in the first half. Later in the second half, we were better. If they wanted to take risks, we did to. The victory could have been bigger. When Arsenal pushed up, they left space and those up front were able to make the difference."

Afterwards, he also spoke about his contract renewal. "It's something that depends on the president. I hope he keeps his word, but I'm confident it will be resolved. I know where I want to be. I feel very valued by the people at Barcelona and by the club. We're in a good moment."
