Scandalous cash offer made to Lionel Messi not to renew his contract

The Blaugrana star's contract expires in June 2018 and a club have made a huge offer to him if he doesn't sign a new deal

Lionel Messi, via his representatives, has received a huge multi-million euro offer to NOT renew with FC Barcelona.

The offer is 100 million euros as a signing on fee, according to El Mundo, the Madrid based newspaper.

The idea is that the club who has made this offer can sign him at the end of his Barcelona contract and not have to pay the 250 million release clause, plus taxes, and will recompense Messi with a fabulously large quantity of money, to which they will add a succulent contract.

The Madrid newspaper will not reveal who the club is, although they say ‘according to reliable sources in the transfer market, one of the clubs very keen to sign Messi is Manchester City.

It should be remembered that Pep Guardiola, just like Ferran Soriano, City chief, denied this in their last visit to Barcelona.

At the recent presentation of Rakuten as Barcelona’s new sponsor president Josep Maria Bartomeu said that he is convinced Messi will sign on again, while Luis Enrique thinks the same.
