Sanabria evasive on possible Barça move
Tony Sanabria is one of the players that Barça have targeted to strengthen their attack. The forward had not yet spoken of the contact from the Catalan club, and did not wish to go in depth when asked about it in the United States either.
He said: "I can only say that I am enjoying things at the moment and hope to continue that way. I am currently only thinking about Paraguay. When the Copa America ends, I will know things for sure, and will announce it, but at the moment there is nothing certain."
When pressed on the topic, Sanabria was evasive: "I can not tell you anything about my future. I am not aware of anything as I do not handle these issues and am focused on the Copa America. It is all that concerns me right now because there is a great responsibility and I do not want to fail."
The striker stated that the pressure does not wear on him despite his young age: "I have not yet shown everything I can. This has been my first season playing regularly at the highest level and things have gone well for me at Sporting Gijon. With Paraguay I just need to score in order to gain confidence."
