Robert confident that defender Mascherano "will stay" at club
In his Thursday press conference, FC Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez addressed the rumours of Javier Mascherano's possible departure from the club.
The Argentine has been linked with a move to Juventus, but Robert stated: "I have already spoken to Javier and I am sure he will continue at Barça. we will find the right context for that to happen".
"He is a vital player for us and I have no doubts he will stay here. He is also under contract."
The 31-year-old is currently with the Argentina national team preparing for the Copa America, where he is expected to be joined by Lionel Messi on Saturday.
