Thiago Silva back on Barca radar

Thiago Silva's name has once again surfaced as a possible Barcelona target for next season.

According to Sport Mediaset Italia, the Blaugrana and Paris Saint-Germain have been negotiating over a possible transfer of the 29-year-old over the last few days.

The price being touted is €50million.

Any potential deal wouldn't be completed until after the World Cup, the report continues, as Brazil continue their quest to be crowned world champions once again - although Silva will miss the semi-final through suspension.

Barca are continuing to look for new defenders as they attempt to strengthen the squad in-line with Luis Enrique's ideas for the new season. 

Everyone at the club would be excited by the signing of Silva, who captains his country, who currently shares a club dressing room with David Luiz and Marquinhos.

Luiz was regularly linked with Barca before his recent move from Chelsea to PSG, while Marquinhos continues to interest the Catalan club.
