Bartomeu asks Bayern how much for Toni Kroos

After the German magazine 'Kicker' reported interest from Barcelona in Bayern Muunich's Toni Kroos on Wednesday, Spanish radio show 'Al Primer Toque' have suggested things are already further along than that.

They revealsed that Josep Maria Bartomeu, the Barca president, directly phones his counterpart at Bayern, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, to ask how much they would be willing to sell the German international for.

Kroos, whose contract expires at the Allianz Arena in 2015, is one of the players Barca are looking at to add strength in the middle of the park after the departures of Cesc Fabregas and, although it's not been made official yet, Xavi Hernandez.

Atletico Madrid's Koke, who was one of the other candidates, dealt the Catalan club a blow on Wednesday by signing a new contract with the la Liga winners.
