Pique hits out at newspaper ABC over Esteladas

FC Barcelona's Gerard Pique has not missed the chance to offer his opinion on the controversy surrounding the decision to ban Esteladas from the Copa del Rey final, a decision which was overturned by a Spanish court on Friday.

The Catalan defender used his Twitter account to criticise the newspaper ABC's view of the matter.

Pique did not bite his tongue and posted a picture of the paper's front cover on Saturday, adding a comment to express his disagreement.

"A newspaper should always be in favour of freedom of expression," the player wrote in regards to what appeared on the cover after it was revealed Esteladas would be allowed at the Vicente Calderon: "Esteladas beat sport in the Copa del Rey".

But Pique didn't finish his tweet there and called the newspaper up for it's graphic of the Sevilla badge.

"PS: Sevilla's badge is not correct," he added, before ending his post with two emoticons of faces blowing kisses.

Later, he retweeted another message in which two historic covers of ABC appeared with images of Francisco Franco and Adolf Hitler, accompanied by the comment "At ABC they have never been in favour of freedom."
