Neymar makes surprise visit to Brazil national team camp

A surprise visit by Neymar brought a smile to the faces of the Brazilian national team players on Friday night.

Brazil begin their Copa America campaign this Saturday against Ecuador in Group B, which also contains Peru and Haiti.

A statement by the Brazil Football Confederation (the CBF) shed light on the Barça player's visit.

Neymar arrived at the hotel in Los Angeles when his national team mates were having dinner, and he greeted them one-by-one. He was there for a few hours and left when the dining room was near empty.

"It was a much anticipated visit, and made the great atmosphere which already characterises the squad even better", stated the CBF release.

"In reality, Neymar was already at home. Loved by his team mates, for the simple and warm way he treats his friends, he first met the goalkeeper Alisson, and the hugs were next for Dunga and the technical co-ordinator Gilmar."

After greeting the centre-back Miranda, who had been an injury doubt for the Copa America, Neymar took the seat he usually occupies within the dining room, next to Dani Alves.

The statement continues: "He spent hours conversing with Alves, Willian and Renato Augusto, who were sat next to him...he then said his farewell but with a fixed date to meet again: the 2016 Rio Olympics."

The Barcelona man is in LA to participate in the filming of "xXx The Return of Xander Cage", the third film in the saga, that will reach cinemas in 2017.
