Nedved hits out at Giorgio Chiellini's post-bite behaviour

Luis Suarez is not the only person to recieve criticism in the aftermath of his bite on Giorgio Chiellini in a match between Uruguay and Italy at the World Cup this summer.

Pavel Nedved, Juventus' sporting director and a former teammate of Chiellini, has said that the Italian defender "behaved like child going over to the referee to show him the bite."

In quotes given to 'Denik Sport', Nedved showed his disgust at Chiellini's actions in Brazil.

"Suarez I can understand, I was a similar sort of player to him," Nedved said.

"Although obviously I don't approve of his actions.

"But what made me most angry was the reaction of Chiellini. He behaved like a child.

"Luckily, at least he accepted the apology of Luis Suarez, showing a little bit of intelligence."

Asked more directly about Barça's latest signing, the former Czech Republic international wasted no time in praising the Uruguayan footballer.

"He is a great player and if I could take him to Juve I would," he explained.

"We wanted to try and get him at Anzhi two years ago, when it seemed like he was having problems at Liverpool."
