Messi on target in Deco's tribute match

Lionel Messi starred but Deco had the last say in his own tribute match.

Barcelona's No. 10 came off the bench at half time to set up two and score one, but Deco, who played for both teams during the match, scored a last minute equaliser for Porto as the game finished 4-4.

Played at the Estadio do Dragao, the fixture pitted the 2004 Porto side against the 2006 Barça side.

The Portuguese side raced into an early lead when Derlei scored inside three minutes and they ended the first half 2-0 up thanks to a Benni McCarthy goal.

However, the introduction of Messi, who was restricted to a watching brief in the first half, changed the game after the break.

He rounded the goalkeeper and squared the ball to present Samuel Eto'o with the easiest of finishes and then went on a driving run which allowed Deco to delicately make it 2-2.

Edgaras Jankauskas briefly restored Porto's lead, before Eto's once again levelled things up.

And it seemed like Messi's late header would seal the win, only for Deco to go and grab an equaliser in the dying seconds of the game.
