Marc-Andre ter Stegen wins UEFA best save award

Marc-Andre ter Stegen has won his first individual award with FC Barcelona. The German goalkeeper, with his double save from Robert Lewandowski, in the Champions League semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich, won the save of the Champions League 2014/15.

Pep Guardiola's Bayern were attacking and the ball broke to Lewandowski, who struck from close range. Ter Stegen produced a great reaction stop from a powerful shot, with his left hand. But the ball span off, towards the bottom left corner. Ter Stegen reacted quickly, scrambling back to flick it away from danger.

With 28% of the Votes, he beat Manuel Neuer (20%), Gianluigi Buffon (20%) and Thibaut Courtois (11%), among others, including Joe Hart (7%) who saved from Lionel Messi at Camp Nou.
