Jorge Sampaoli: I'm closer to Pep Guardiola than Luis Enrique
The Sevilla coach has respect for Barcelona and their former coaches but if asked to pick he'd go with Pep
Jorge Sampaoli says he prefers the style played by Pep Guardiola to that of Luis Enrique, although he rates the Asturian's work.
Sampaoli says that Barcelona today "are not the team that was occupied so much with possession" but they "play more direct football to the three up front", refering to the MSN trident.
When asked about the two coaches he did not want to choose between them, saying they were "great coaches", but in the end he said that he's "closer to Guardiola becaue Barcelona now play more directly", although "both are among the best in the world".
Luis Enrique's Barcelona have been the only team this season capable of beating Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan, with a 2-0 victory there in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup.
