Barcelona's Jordi Alba will be fit for Saturday's Camp Nou Clasico

According to RAC1 on Monday, Jordi Alba suffered a sprained ankle in Spain's draw with Romania in Cluj. The left-back played the entire 90 minutes of the friendly and, after the match, didn't seem to show any signs of uncomfort. However, due to the fact there was no Barcelona training session on Monday, due to the internationals, it was not clear how serious the injury was.

Sources close to the Spanish national team, though, say it's true that "there was some pain during the final minutes of the game after a small twisting of the ankle." However, after being looked at by La Roja's medics, "he doesn't have a serious problem." For that reason, from the national team there are no doubts that "he could play against Madrid without any problems."

Meanwhile, his agent, Jose Manuel Tarraga, has also been equally as optimistic when speaking to SPORT from Italy. So, everything suggests that Jordi Alba, despite suffering a small ankle sprain, will be available for Luis Enrique to select on Saturday. The player will kill any remaining doubts on Tuesday when he joins up with the first team training session.
