Eduard Coll resigns from Barcelona board

Following a meeting between the board, Eduard Coll has resigned from his position at Barcelona.

Coll, who was the director in charge of the handball section at the club, presented his resignation shortly after 16.30 on Monday afternoon.

His reason for leaving the institution was because of disagreements with the current president of the club, Josep Maria Bartomeu, and the rest of his management.

Eduard Coll Poblet (Barcelona, January 21, 1957) graduated from the Central University of Barcelona and is the founding member of the 'Coll Advocats', who have offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Caldes de Montbui and Jiangshan (China).

He has also acted as a professor at a number of different institutions.

Coll was also the legal adviser to the company which organised the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992, while he has also worked with the Andorran government.

As well as being reponsible for the handball section at Barcelona, he is also vice president of the FCB foundation - it is not known whether he will continue with that role.
