Chinese interest in Barcelona's Arda Turan re-activated

The player's agent was in Barcelona last week to speak with the club

Arda Turan's agent Ahmet Bulut visited Barcelona last week, setting off alarm bells at the club about the player's future.

Bulut met with Arda and with people at the club to inform them of the interest from a Chinese club in the player. It appears the offer has not been made official yet, but it could be soon. It would be a huge offer for both Barça and Arda and there would have to be talks about what to do.

As for Arda, his idea remains to stay with Barcelona because he wants to win titles this season. He's fought hard to play for the club and would only think about leaving in the case of an out-of-this-world offer.

And that is what could happen. The interested club is Guangzhou and the offer could be 50 million euros for Barça and a salary for Arda of 20 million euros per season.

The problem, in these cases, is the amount of people that try to get involved in the transfer, wasting time. What is clear, though, is that Arda's the centre of much attention in China.

Barça have been ignoring most of these offers but Bulut's visit to the city has made everything more credible. The club don't want to sell, given he's having an important impact at the moment. They feel he will continue to be involved in their sporting success.

However, they will listen to the offer and study it -- in the case that it arrives in a written, official format -- keeping in mind they'd only sell in the case that Arda wants to leave and they make more than they paid Atletico Madrid for him two years ago.
