Chelsea put pressure on Arda Turan to turn down Barça's offer

Jose Mourinho's Chelsea want to take advantage of the situation surrounding Arda Turan's signing for FC Barcelona.

Barça's interim management board will decide later on Monday whether to sign Arda or not, with Chelsea putting pressure on the player and his agent to forget the Catalan club and move to London.

Chelsea are ready to pay the Turkish international's 41 million euro release clause to take him to Stamford Bridge.

The pressure is strong, but, for the moment, Arda Turan is happy to wait for Barcelona; to see what the interim management board decide.

However, if they decide the decision should be placed in the hands of the next president on July 18, despite Luis Enrique's request to sign the player, Arda Turan could decide to take up Chelsea's offer instead.

Meanwhile, Diego Costa, a former teammate of Arda at Atletico Madrid, is also putting pressure on the player to move to Chelsea.
