Barcelona are looking for a right-back in January. As SPORT revealed five days ago, the club are sounding out the different options available on the market to strengthen the right-back position due to Luis Enrique’s lack of confidence in Aleix Vidal.
As of today, there are three names on the table. The premise is that the operation doesn’t work out too expensively on an ecocnomic level.
The market presents options such as Joao Cancelo, a player represented by Jorge Mendes and who Barça have already began to negotiate with according to some sources. In recent days, Bayern Munich have also been linked with the player.
The other names the club have in mind are Paris Saint-Germain’s Serge Aurier and Southampton’s Cedric Soares.
ALEIX VIDAL
Before signing a new player, the idea is to solve the Aleix Vidal situation.
The club don’t want to sell him for less than 13 million euros -- which may prove complicated given his ostracism -- although a loan with an option to buy next summer could also be a possibility.
