Barcelona will NOT sign Nolito after Celta Vigo reject final offer

Celta Vigo have not accepted the latest and final offer by FC Barcelona for their forward Nolito. That means he will not be arriving at the Camp Nou in this winter window. Barcelona had offered to loan the striker until the end of the season with an option to buy after that, but the Galician club have rejected the proposal.

Nolito was Luis Enrique's main transfer target, with the Asturian coach hoping to reunite with a player he had coached at Barcelona B as well as at Celta Vigo. For his part, Nolito was desperately hoping to link up with someone he describes as a "sporting father".

Lucho has been informed by the club of Celta's decision and accepted that, at last, he will not get any reinforcements in January. If he still wants Nolito in the summer, the Barcelona coach may get his way, as Barcelona have not discarded the idea of signing him then.
