FC Barcelona taking legal action against Santos over Gabigol issue
FC Barcelona's director of professional sports, Albert Soler, confirmed the club are looking into legal action against Santos over the transfer of Gabigol.
Gabriel Barbosa was sold to Inter Milan, with Barcelona not given enough time to make a decision on whether they wanted him, which they bought by agreeing a deal over a first-option on the star.
Soler said: "The club are in a legal process. We had a preferential option on the player which wasn't complied with by Santos. We're studying all the legal possibilities to take the case forward, but it's a legal matter, not a sporting one."
