Josep Maria Bartomeu has come out in defence of Gerard Pique, after his quotes attacking Real Madrid and their club values.
During the presentation of the new Estadio Johan Cruyff, which is what the new Mini Estadi will be called, he spoke about the Catalan centre-back.
“Today is not a day to talk about these topic but Pique and Cardoner said what they said. The position of the club is clear, as Cardoner said. Pique has told no lie.”
He also referred to the match-fixing allegations against Eldense, for their 12-0 defeat by Barcelona B. “It’s an internal topic for that club and Barcelona have nothing to do with it,” he added.
